While we were making name stamps a few days ago, we made a stamp with clouds and rain drops.
We also made some hand painted rainbow gift wrap a few days ago. (Phew....Abbi and I have been craftasticly busy. The projects have been flying out the door).
And so it was only inevitable that we would combine the stamps and the gift wrap to create...youve guessed....hand stamped gift wrap.
Nothing unique here I know, people - but we were on a roll, and it looks cute, so we wanted to share.
This gift wrap is actually for a friend of mine this time not Abbis. Her birthday is this week. (I am in the process of making her a cloud-ish gift, and am going a bit overboard on my theming).
Ill post details and pictures of the gift as soon as it is finished.
Same principal as before, not rocket science. Just a cloud shape and a few rain drops. I put them on separate stamps so I could vary the weather. And have a different rain drop colour if I wanted.
We did the clouds, and were really happy with them, but then in my desire to play The Almighty in wrapping paper...I came a cropper.....It looked sooooo much nicer without the rain.....and I stamped my rain upside down, so the rain is flowing back into the clouds....... shhhhh nobody will notice.
Belissimo !
