Chalk marker christmas decorations on windows

So the builders (kind of) moved out last weekend.  They aren't finished, but its only some decorating left, and I wanted to reclaim the house, (my kitchen mainly), clean up all the dust and mess, and get ready for christmas.

We haven't moved all the furniture back in, as the builders will be back early in the new year, so I am keeping it very simple this year -

The twig tree that Abbi now loves and Jamie hates, and some chalk marker on the windows.

I love that you barely notice this during the day, but when it gets dark, it becomes almost fluorescent against the black outside.  It really looks more like chalk board.

I especially love that it takes minutes to do.

There is still a week to go, and I may succumb to some more decorations (we have a normal tree in the family room), but for now, I am liking our minimal look.
