Night at the Museum - Science Museum Sleepover

Abbi and a group of friends were all given tickets to sleepover at the Science Museum in London for their Christmas presents.

Last Saturday night was the Big Night.

They need a parent to look after them (obviously), but lucky for us the dad of one of the other girls was happy to sleep over with them.  Not sure he was fully aware what he was letting himself in for.

We arrived at the museum for 6.30pm with sleeping bags (and large quantities of snacks) ready for the girls adventure.

The evening was jam packed with things to do, and the girls were kept busy with experiments, hands on galleries and an imax science film.

The activities finish around 11.15pm, and despite consuming diabetes inducing amounts of sugar, the girls went to sleep around 12.30pm  (....outlasting the dad looking after them).

In the morning - breakfast, more exhibits, an explore round the museum and of course the obligatory gift shop finished off the adventure.

They maybe didn't get their full quota of beauty sleep, but they were all buzzing with excitement when I picked them up in the morning.

The tickets are £45 per person, and they book up quite far in advance.  More details are here

Apparently sleepovers are also available at The Natural History Museum; The British Museum; London Zoo; The Golden Hynd, and  Hamleys toy shop (albeit the later is around £4.5k for the night!)
