In our house, there aren't many things that can't be solved with a bit of crispy bacon. (Except perhaps heart disease!)
My oldest son turned 12 today. Crikey where did the time go? It seems like only yesterday he was a cute toddler making mud pies (and doing what he was told). Now all of a sudden he is on the brink of teenagerdom with all the delights that hormones bring (we get occasional glimpses of what we have in store!)
He is fairly easy to keep happy. It usually involves food.
We all went to the theatre last night, so before we went out, I pre cooked the bacon into the shapes, so it was ready for this morning. (Obviously you can skip this step if you have time to cook on the day you are eating)
Not too crispy, so I could reheat today. They shrink a bit on cooking, but retain their shape well.
Into the fridge, and ready for reheating.
This morning, I put them on a clean baking sheet, and they are good to go.
We had these with pancakes, strawberries and maple syrup. Yum.
What would you write? Dont restrict yourselves to names or messages.
I mean even a Dear John Letter might have the edge taken off if crafted in breakfast items.
This is brilliant. Im going to do this for my husbands birthday
