Multipurpose word search gift wrap and card DIY

I started off making a word search card, that could be used for almost any occasion, but it also lends itself very well (if not better) to gift wrap.

I made a grid on excel, and then converted to a pdf, so I could resize as required.  I made a version in A4 and A3.

Simply highlight the words you want to stand out...

Wrap, and present your gift....

Alternatively, you could circle the words as you would in a word search.....(thank you Abbi for lending me your lovely gel pens).

As paint sew glue chew is about to celebrate its first birthday...

And this is the greetings card - print out on card stock / printable cards.

There is lots of different ways of using this - you could simply highlight the letters of words in different colours, or try and find the following words / phrases that I stuck in mine:

* happy birthday
* live laugh love
* hip hip hurrah its your birthday
* you are very wise ; kind; brilliant; fab; superb; amazing; cool; swanky  (who wouldnt thank you for a card telling them they are superb and swanky!)
* get well soon
* one...ten
* first, second....tenth, eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth  (I think theres a "teenth" in there for 14th - 19th, but now I can't find it)
* 40th - 90th
* thanks, thx, thank you, very much
* thanksgiving, easter, halloween, new year
* be my valentine
* congrats, congratulations
* merry christmas
* bonne voyage

.....I was starting to run out of card giving events at this point......

* make time for cake
* top of the morning to you (in case you are in the habit of giving cards to leprechauns)
* im sending you this card for no reason at all
* hi y all  (for any Texan card givers)

And while I'm on a roll insulting stereotypes....

*gday sport
*celebrate good times come on
*lets party all night

and finally....
*this may be the most useful / useless card ever.

Hopefully I havent insulted anyone inadvertently by spelling something heinous in a foreign language!

Happy word searching!

You could make your own easily, or down load mine jpeg and pdf here  (but if you redistribute it, please link back / credit my site).  Fingers crossed that works, as its the first time I've added a document.

...or if you are feeling lazy, and want one personalised, ping me an email, and I will make the changes for you.
