DIY thanksgiving banner - from recycled magazines.
As an avid blog and pinterest reader, it would be easy to forget that we don't celebrate thanksgiving in the UK. Us brits (and other nationalities) could end up feeling a little left out. Although we won't be indulging in turkey and all the trimmings, I made a little thanksgiving inspired decor so PSGC towers could celebrate with our friends over the pond.
I love all the beautiful catalogues that come through at this time of year - and always struggle to throw them straight in the recycling. The pictures in Toast are very aspirational. I used the stunning pictures of their winter catalogue plus a sheet of white copy paper, sticky tape and string. Voila - thanksgiving decor for pennies.
This catalogue is brimming with lovely photos (and things).
I drew freehand (very roughly) my message in pencil, and cut out.
My full message is maybe a little punchy for some, but I had a hangover.
I added stars from a page in the book (waste not want not)....and took it for a spin on the kitchen cupboards.
While I was making this, my children were making copious notes about their christmas lists beside me. I think the irony may have been lost on them.
Hi there just wanted to give you a quick heads up.
ReplyDeleteThe text in your content seem to be running off the screen
in Safari. I'm not sure if this is a format issue or something
to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I'd
post to let you know. The style and design look great though!
Hope you get the problem solved soon. Many thanks

Thankyou for that. Really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. I use safari as my main browser, so assumed all ok, but I think I have tried to possibly cram too much in. I will look at it and adjust asap. Have a great day. x
